There are five traditional intaglio processes: engraving, etching, drypoint, aquatint, and mezzotint. All other necessary materials are provided – though students may wish to purchase additional or different paper to try during the class. Participants can expect to walk away with a small edition of a two-plate, two color intaglio print and an applicable understanding of the fundamentals of intaglio printmaking.Įach student will receive 2 small copper plates that they will use to develop their image.
